Under the Slogan “Small things make big difference”, Orange Egypt boosts its charity campaigns in Ramadan by renovating and refurbishing schools and houses in Upper Egypt villages.
Under the slogan “Small things make big difference”, Orange Egypt, the leading provider of integrated telecommunications services, has launched two parallel campaigns to renovate and refurbish schools and houses in Upper Egypt in the most needy villages in cooperation with “Misr El Kheir” and “Ommar Al-Ard" foundations. These campaigns are part of Orange’s sustained activities in the field of social responsibility. The campaigns aim to positively affect, change and touch the Egyptians’ lives.
The first campaign focuses on the renovation of a number of schools in 6 Egyptian governorates; Aswan, Luxor, Sohag, Assiut, Beni Suef and Minya, in cooperation with Misr El Kheir Foundation.
It is noteworthy that Orange Egypt will be supporting and financing school furniture and will provide them with modern equipment, including devices and computers to grant a quality-learning environment experience for students.
Orange Egypt also supported in furnishing the internal and external facades of schools and provided the school uniforms to students in order to help them adapt to school without incurring their families any cost.
The second campaign involves a comprehensive renovation of houses in 4 villages in Upper Egypt in cooperation with Ommar Al-Ard Foundation, within the framework of the company's efforts to support the most needy families in Minya and Beni Suef governorates.
During the Campaign Orange Egypt participated by installing ceiling, walls painting, flooring and providing all facilities including water, electricity, and sanitation.
The campaign comes out of Orange Egypt belief in “Satr & Ghata” project, which aims to protect families in the needy villages and keep them warm and safe through the installation of insulation roofs for several houses of various families.
The insulation roofs are designed to protect families from cold weather and any other potential -life-threatening - conditions, in addition to draining excess rainwater and preventing its accumulation on rooftops.
“We continue to forge our privileged partnership with institutions that have exceptional experience in community work like Ommar El Ard and Misr El Kheir Foundation to upgrade the standard of Egyptian lives and change it to the better" said Hala Abdel Wadood, Head of Public Relations & Corporate Social Responsibility at Orange Egypt.
Abdel Wadood explained that the campaign is a continuation for the promotional campaign launched by Orange under the theme “Small things make big difference”. Orange also extends its deep appreciation to the mega stars Tamer Hosny and Nancy Ajram, who participated out of their believe in the cause of the campaign where it is not just a regular advertising campaign, but it is an integrated campaign that supports and encourages the spirit of sharing among the Egyptians.
“The two campaigns are just the beginning of many campaigns to be sponsored by Orange Egypt in support to the government patriotic initiative “Dignified Life” that was launched and represented by the Ministry of Social Solidarity”.
