"Sukar Mazboot" program and Diabetes Foot Clinical Center - Egyptian Association for Diabetes Care

Mobinil collaborated with the Egyptian Association for Diabetes Care in a campaign to Empower people with diabetes in order for them to better manage their condition. Mobinil's contributions to the campaign include:

  • Offering an answering service that operates daily from 9.00 am - 11.00 pm with guidance and advice for people with diabetes. The service is manned by health-care professionals and medical consultants. This operation was first launched in November 2008. The Incoming call count is at 26200 calls. The hotline will be re-launched with newer servers and SMS services.
  • Offering monthly education session 20 hours courses conducted by certified diabetes educators for children, adolescent and their families with a focus on type-1 diabetes and type-2 diabetes.
  • Providing of medical supplies, tapes analysis for diabetes, syringes and equipment blood pressure analysis devices at subsidized prices.
  • Launching a Foot Clinic for early detection of diabetic foot.
  • A series of school visits for awareness about diabetes among school students at the beginning of the academic year 2010-2011.
