During “Better Egypt” Summit 4th Edition, Rania Gharib Named Among Top 50 Most Influential Women in 2018
In its fourth annual edition of “Better Egypt Summit” organized by Amwal Al Ghad magazine, and under the auspices of H.E Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Orange Egypt Chief Legal, Regulatory and Compliance Officer Rania Gharib was named among the top 50 most influential women in 2018. Gharib was chosen due to her successful contributions to organizational relations and legal affairs. The selection is based on a set of professional standards that are compatible with approved rating centers. The annual ceremony took place, to award the top 100 companies listed in the EGX and the top 50 most influential women in Egypt.
The ceremony was attended by major companies in Egypt, as well as prominent economic figures, innovative entrepreneurs and people with special needs. The lists of attendees have been prepared in cooperation with a number of investment banks and economic analysis centers.
Orange Egypt Chief Legal, Regulatory and Compliance Officer has been selected according to a specific set of standards concerning business performance and innovation. These standards have been developed to promote the global rating of Egyptian companies and influential figures specially with the world economy relying on qualitative classification as a major reference in the assessment of markets and emerging economies.
Gharib joined Orange Egypt as a general counselor back in mid-2017. Prior to joining Orange, she held various positions at Telecom Egypt, the most recent one was vice president for legal and regulatory affairs. Gharib also has extensive corporate governance experience as a board member in several corporate boards within the telecommunications sector, including Vodafone. In addition to having a master’s degree in law and being a registered lawyer in Cairo, she has an extensive experience that extends over 18 years in the field of telecommunication laws and regulations, competition laws, governmental relations, consumer protection, and dispute resolution.
The 50th Forum is the first growing network of businesswomen in Egypt to highlight the role of Egyptian women as a key partner in economic development.
