16 Years of Investing in Egyptian Talent and Connecting Startups with Global Markets Orange Egypt Empowers a New Generation of Entrepreneurs to Compete Globally, Crowns Three Startups at OSVP 2026
Egyptian Winners Advance to International Competition for €70,000 in Total Prizes
Orange Egypt continues to strengthen its role in supporting Egypt’s entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem, announcing the qualification of three Egyptian startups for the international stage of the Orange Social Venture Prize (OSVP) 2026 after winning the local round of the competition’s 16th edition.
This came as part of Orange Egypt’s long-term commitment to identifying promising young talent, supporting innovative ideas, and connecting Egyptian entrepreneurs with opportunities for growth and competition at both regional and international levels.
Over the past 16 years, the OSVP has evolved into one of Orange’s leading platforms across Africa and the Middle East for identifying startups that combine innovation and technology with the ability to develop practical solutions to pressing social and environmental challenges. This approach reflects the Group’s vision of entrepreneurship as a key driver of economic growth and a catalyst for creating new opportunities for young people.
The program also provides the winning startups with access to a range of Orange’s latest technology-enabled business solutions. These offerings are designed to help startups improve operational efficiency, develop their ventures, and prepare for their next stage of growth as they move forward to the international competition.
These efforts are part of Orange Egypt’s broader vision to foster a supportive environment for entrepreneurship in Egypt and strengthen the private sector’s role in empowering young people and building their capabilities. They also complement the Egyptian government’s efforts to promote innovation, support startups, and enhance their contribution to the economy, in line with the objectives of Egypt Vision 2030 and the country’s transition toward a more knowledge- and technology-driven economy.
This year’s edition was held in collaboration with Huawei Egypt, further strengthening efforts to promote innovation and entrepreneurship while recognizing impactful social ventures.
Commenting on the occasion, Maha Nagy, Chief Communication Officer at Orange Egypt, said: “The Orange Social Venture Prize is one of the initiatives that reflects Orange’s long-standing commitment to supporting young people and entrepreneurship. At Orange Egypt, we firmly believe that Egyptian youth possess the ambition, capabilities, and ideas needed to build companies capable of competing both locally and internationally. As a private-sector player, it is our responsibility to help unlock this potential by providing access to the opportunities, tools, and expertise needed to turn ideas into successful and scalable ventures.”
Nagy emphasized that the Egyptian startups’ advancement to the international stage demonstrates the continued development of Egypt’s entrepreneurship ecosystem and the ability of Egyptian youth to develop ideas that meet global competitive standards. She added that Orange Egypt will continue to support initiatives that equip the next generation with the tools, expertise, and confidence needed to turn their ambitions into tangible success.
The competition resulted in three Egyptian startups being named winners: Extractor Co., Deaf Gain, and B-Vita. The startups will now advance to the international stage, representing Egypt alongside winning startups from countries where the Orange Group operates across Africa and the Middle East.
Noor also won the Women’s Prize, which recognizes and supports women-led startups. The company will likewise continue competing for the international award, reflecting Orange’s commitment to expanding opportunities for women entrepreneurs and strengthening their presence within the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
The Egyptian winners will now continue their journey in the international competition, competing for total prizes worth €70,000. The international stage will provide the startups with further opportunities to strengthen their capabilities and gain access to new networks, expertise, and markets worldwide.
Through the OSVP and its broader portfolio of entrepreneurship initiatives, Orange Egypt continues to invest in young talent and startups, creating new pathways for promising Egyptian ideas to grow, scale, and compete on the global stage. Through these efforts, the company seeks to reinforce the role of innovation and entrepreneurship in driving economic and social development while contributing to a more competitive and sustainable future.
