To Provide them with a Decent Life Orange Egypt Expands in Community Service Activities during Ramadan and Announces Two Initiatives with El Orman and Ommar El-Ard Associations to Support the Families in Need
Orange Egypt has initiated its diversified Corporate Social Responsibility campaigns among its holy month of Ramadan activities by distributing food supplies to the families in need in all the Egyptian governorates in cooperation with El Orman and Ommar El Ard associations.
Prior Ramadan and with an incentive to create a spirit of social solidarity, Orange employees contributed in the packing process of the food boxes, where the company is constantly keen to empower and involve its employees in charitable development activities within the framework of the employees’ social responsibility, believing that the role of individuals is no less important than the role of companies and institutions.
Nevertheless, Orange Egypt succeeded in distributing food boxes before the beginning of Ramadan in collaboration with El Orman Association and its nationwide branches along with the help of university students from Enactus Egypt which Orange has been sponsoring for the past 16 years.
As for the second initiative with Ommar El Ard Association, Orange provided Iftar meals for the most families in need in two villages in Giza and Fayoum governorates throughout the holy month. Iftar was served in closed halls filled with the Ramadan atmosphere, allowing families to attend and eat their meals while preserving their privacy.
On this occasion, Maha Nagy, Chief Communications Officer at Orange, said "we continue our distinguished partnerships with prominent institutions such as El Orman and Ommar El Ard associations to contribute in improving the lives of Egyptians and changing their lives for the better, by supporting charitable efforts aimed at supporting Egyptian families. The company has sought to diversify its efforts and expand its support of multiple initiatives to provide food supplies to the most vulnerable groups in the community, which is just a first step, whereas other initiatives will continue to serve the people in need till the end of the holy month.”
