For the first time in Egypt, Orange has announced a groundbreaking agreement with CPC to provide gas stations with electronic wallet payment technology to enable customers to conveniently settle their petroleum product purchases using e-wallets, with a special incentive of up to EGP 100 cash back exclusively for Orange Cash wallet customers.
Orange has provided CPC with the necessary technology to accept electronic payments from all Egyptian e-wallets in six fuel stations as a pilot phase. These stations are located in Salah Salem, Dokki, Fifth Settlement in Cairo and Giza, Ghazala in the North Coast, and Shatby and Sidi Beshr in Alexandria and it will gradually expand to include all CPC-affiliated stations.
On this occasion, Eng. Yasser Shaker, the CEO and Managing Director of Orange Egypt, expressed his pride to collaborate with a prestigious company like CPC, which owns more than 1,200 gas stations covering all parts of Egypt.
"The introduction of electronic wallets at gas stations reflects our future vision and our aspiration to innovate and provide digital technological solutions that meet the needs of customers and contribute to enhancing their daily experience in an easier, faster, and more efficient way. “He added.
For his part, Eng. Nasser Shouman, CPC chairman expressed his appreciation for the signing the agreement with Orange Egypt, especially as it aligns with the company's commitment to implementing the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources' strategy to expand digital transformation activities and technological support to keep up with modern technological advancements.
