For the 12th year in a row, with the participation of 35 Egyptian Universities, Orange Egypt Sponsors Enactus National Competition 2019
- Orange’s employees Participated as juries to select the winning projects
- The 1st place winner will represent Egypt in the international competition to be held in California, United States
Orange Egypt, the leading provider of integrated telecommunications services, sponsored the 12th Enactus National Competition 2019, which was held on July 9th and 10th. 35 Egyptian universities competed to win the first place where the winning project will be qualified to compete in the international competition which will be held next September in the United States of America.
Orange took part in organizing and evaluating the participated projects in Enactus competition to support young innovative ideas to transform them into projects that help in developing the community, the environment or economic fields.
Emphasizing its leading role in sponsoring and supporting CSR projects, Orange Egypt sponsors Enactus for the 12th year in a row to foster the innovation and entrepreneurship of young innovators to enable them build a better future and encourage them create beneficial developmental projects that support the community.
A number of Orange Egypt officials participated in the jury along with a group of businessmen and executive leaders from major global companies. At the end of the competition, the committee evaluated and selected the best 35 projects, after which the first three teams were selected. Cairo University team came in the first place, followed by October 6 University (O6U) team in the second and Ein Shams University team in the third place.
With this result, Cairo University team is qualified to represent Egypt in the international competition which will be held in California, USA in September 2019.
Commenting on the event, Eng. Yasser Shaker, CEO and Managing Director of Orange Egypt, and Enactus Board Member said: "We are very interested in investing in young people, especially in the field of education and entrepreneurship, to raise leadership and cooperation skills.
