Orange Egypt Participates in the Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR-23) and Showcases its Friendly Environmental Solutions and Technologies

Orange Egypt showcased its unique experience in utilizing environmentally friendly technologies in its operations and telecommunications services during the Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR-23), a significant global event in the technology and communications sector. The event, which took place in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, from June 5th to 8th, was organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and was held under the patronage of His Excellency the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, represented by the National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority, hosted the event under the theme "Regulation for a Sustainable Digital Future."

During the Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR-23), Dr. Amr Talaat, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, visited Orange Egypt's pavilion and had the opportunity to explore the solutions and technologies showcased by the company. One notable demonstration by Orange involved the use of virtual reality technology to illustrate their experience in utilizing clean energy for operating mobile towers and implementing renewable energy technologies to power and illuminate their outlets. These initiatives received significant praise and recognition during the COP27 Climate Summit that took place in Sharm El-Sheikh.

The Global Symposium for Regulators brought together high-level panel discussions featuring leaders and heads of telecommunication regulatory bodies from around the world, as well as a large number of specialized experts from over 100 countries and decision-makers in the sector. It provided a platform for local and international companies to exchange experiences and opinions.

On this occasion, Ayman Amiri, Chief Technology Officer at Orange Egypt, expressed his happiness with Orange Egypt's sponsorship of this important event where he highlighted the event's global significance, bringing together regulators and policymakers in the communications sector and further solidifying Egypt's distinguished position among the regional technology and communications markets.

Amiri emphasized that Orange Egypt made an ideal contribution to the event, which focused heavily on sustainability and environmentally friendly technologies. The company showcased its inspiring experience in green transformation and the innovative technologies it has developed or adopted as one of the first telecommunications companies to use renewable energy and sustainable technology in its operations, buildings, and branches.
