Orange Egypt Inaugurates Autism Care Center in Sohag in Partnership with Caritas Egypt to Support Children Across Upper Egypt
Orange Egypt has announced the inauguration of a new center in Sohag Governorate, Upper Egypt, to support children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder as part of its commitment to creating inclusive and sustainable development programs for the most vulnerable segments of society. Supported by the Orange Group Foundation, the program is carried out in collaboration with SETI center for advice, training, studies on Disabilities which is affiliated to the nonprofit organization Caritas Egypt, in the presence of notable government officials and community leaders.
Sohag was chosen as the center's location to guarantee that services reach thousands of youngsters across Upper Egypt, including Qena and Aswan governorates. In partnership with local partner groups, the center is projected to assist around 2,000 children and adolescents aged two to 18 years, both directly and indirectly.
The new center offers specialized assistance to children with autism and their families using innovative infrastructure, such as sensory integration rooms meant to help youngsters adjust to sensory stimulation and several training halls. This infrastructure is supplemented by specialized intervention programs that use a variety of successful educational and rehabilitative techniques to improve children's skills and increase their involvement in community life.
In keeping with Orange Egypt's commitment to significant and long-term corporate social responsibility projects, the center also provides specialized training sessions for families of autistic children. These programs seek to assist parents in better understanding their children's behaviors and using evidence-based practices that promote skill development and cognitive growth, consequently increasing the efficacy of therapeutic therapies delivered at the center.
Furthermore, Orange Egypt has also established partnerships and training programs with healthcare and educational professionals from local organizations to optimize the center's effect and as part of its all-encompassing approach to community development. In order to improve children's everyday functioning and strengthen their skills, thesepartnerships seek to involve community stakeholders in providing specialized interventions, increasing awareness about autism, encouraging early detection, and fostering the inclusion of children in society in accordance with their abilities.
