On the occasion of Mother's Day Orange Egypt continues its support for “Baheya” Foundation to build Sheikh Zayed Hospital for Breast Cancer Treatment
Orange Egypt has announced its sponsorship of "Steps for 200,000 Baheya" event which was launched by Baheya Foundation in March through its latest initiative “You Are a Copy of Her” to support the early detection and treatment of breast cancer and was attended by the Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Minister of Social Solidarity, Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, National Council for Women, as well as, a number of artists and prominent members of society.
The initiative, which was launched under the slogan “Your Gift reassures her” aims to consolidate the importance of early detection and encourage women to do regular checkups, which comes in line with Baheya Foundation’s ambition to conduct early breast cancer detection for 20,000 women by the end of Ramadan, which would bring the total number of women served to 200,000 over the course of 7 years since its inception.
During the "Steps for 200,000 Baheya" celebration, Laila El Nofely, Orange Egypt's Corporate Social Responsibility Manager, delivered a special message highlighting the importance of directing social responsibility efforts to support influential and prominent institutions that play an vital role in supporting and nurturing Egyptian women, such as Baheya, as they are directed to protect, care and treat women who make up half of the Egyptian society.
“Access to treatment and psychological support for women, or early detection and awareness of the disease in order to prevent it, is a noble humanitarian goal that is reflected on the whole society, as treating of one woman can protect an entire family, so we were keen in Orange to support “Baheya” and provide all the necessary capabilities to assist in achieving its objectives." she added.
