Top three start-ups at Orange Social Venture 2018 semi-final
Orange Egypt announced the results of the eighth edition of the local competition "Young Projects Emerging 2018" for social projects in the Middle East and Africa at the company's headquarters.
A total of 60 startups were introduced to the local competition launched by Orange Egypt in March and until the end of May, after their innovative projects were presented to a jury of leading experts. Three teams were selected from 11 teams: Enkaaz "Which has developed a mobile phone application that helps motorists access service centers and help them repair road failures. The second team is the owner of Modo Health, which helps users find the nearest medical service provider based on their location in less than 60 seconds, taking into account the ratings and reviews of other users. The third group has developed the application of arza2.com, which helps professional and professional workers to find the job that suits them.
The three teams received in-kind awards and the necessary support of project follow-up provided by Orange Egypt, as well as the opportunity to qualify for the finalists in Cape Town, South Africa.
Eng. Yasser Shaker presented the awards presented by the company in appreciation and encouragement. Orange has announced the "Orange for Emerging Projects 2018" competition based on the use of ICTs, targeting young entrepreneurs and startups over the age of 21. The project has been an idea, prototype or business for 3 years at the latest. The idea of the competition was based on innovation that contributes to the support of development, social and economic progress and digital transformation.
