For the first time in Egypt Maker to market Startup hardware competition sponsored by Orange

As part of Orange support to startups and young entrepreneurs, Orange sponsors Maker to Market hard ware competition.

Maker To Market Challenge a competition-based program powered by Orange Egypt & Fab Lab Egypt to introduce the Young Egyptian Community to the Digital Fabrication and Design For Manufacturing.The goal of the competition is to enable entrepreneurs and innovators specializing in manufacturing - especially digital manufacturing - to create digital solutions capable of meeting market challenges and meeting their requirements by providing the necessary tools and guidance to help them to market their ideas locally & Globally

The competition included several ideas in the field of digital manufacturing such as: Electronic devices, education, agriculture, Internet of things, health and fitness, and smart devices.
100 idea were submitted, where 3 winners were selected at the final pitch that took place at Orange premises on August 7th ,2018.

The 3 winners were honored by our CEO Yasser Shaker, he said that the competition seeks to achieve the aspirations and dreams of young people by supporting their creative ideas, which we support and seed fund the winners to turn these ideas into real projects.

The 3 Winners are:

(SSV,XIOT & Crupler)

SSV is an early stage startup concerned with manufacturing electric vehicles with wide range of applications.

XIOT is a smart home solutions technology company that develops user experience centric product designs. xChip -their first product- is a device that fits into your wall outlet, it connects up to 3 devices(lights, outlets or anything that connects with electricity) to the platform and monitors its power consumption.

Crupler will be making a soldering iron that can be held like a pen while it get fed with solder automatically when pressing the feeding button with your index finger
