Emad Sonbaty joined Orange Egypt as Chief People and Facilities Officer in February 2018. Sonbaty oversees the Company’s HR function, which leads talent acquisition; leadership development; learning; compensation and benefits; organizational management; and employees engagement of more than 5000 employees.
He has been an accomplished leader in Orange Group since 2004; the latest role before joining Orange Egypt has been Regional Head of HR, Middle East & Africa Global HRBP Sales, Emerging Markets & Indirect, Orange Business Services. He was responsible for supporting the business by recommending and developing the necessary HR strategies in addition to provide an integrated HR service for multifunctional businesses with shared services and operational staff in various office locations within the Middle East and Africa with other responsibilities globally in AME, EUR, APAC and France.
Sonbaty has progressed through various leadership and operational roles in the telecommunications, FMCG, Retail and Tourism sectors bringing more than 30 years of experience to his current role.
