Dr.Ayman Amiri serves as the Chief Technology & Information Officer for Orange Egypt, where
his primary responsibility is to create an unmatched user experience for customers across both Orange
Egypt’s fixed and mobile networks. Ayman’s organization is dedicated to connecting people seamlessly and
effortlessly.
With over 20 years of experience, Ayman has been a key visionary behind Orange Egypt’s
network strategy and development activities. He brings broad expertise in operations and engineering,
leading the development of innovative concept design technologies, Inspire and Evolve.
Ayman’s journey with Orange began in 1998, where he played a significant role in the
company’s startup. By 2000, he had moved into a management role, overseeing network operational
excellence.
Starting in 2010, Ayman led the digital transformation of Orange Egypt’s network,
culminating in the establishment of Egypt’s fastest 4G network. He pioneered the group’s NFV/SDM
program, making Orange the first mobile operator in Egypt and within the group to virtualize a
business-critical function in a mass-market use case (vEPC).
Before his tenure at Orange, Ayman accumulated valuable experience in multinational
petroleum companies, including Halliburton and MARIDIVE.
Ayman holds a B.Sc. degree with honor in Engineering Telecommunication and
Electrophysics from Alexandria University, earned in 1993, and an MBA from ESC Rennes School of Business
in France, completed in 2005. In 2022, he obtained his professional doctorate in business administration
from Cardiff Metropolitan University in the UK.
In the 5G era, Ayman places a strong emphasis on InfoSec and cybersecurity during
digital transformation, recognizing their critical importance. Ensuring robust security measures and
safeguarding against cyber threats are essential to maintaining the integrity and reliability of
advanced 5G networks, which are crucial for the future of telecommunications.
