Ahmed El Abd was appointed as the Chief Consumer Business Officer of Orange Egypt as of September 2019.
Ahmed El Abd brings over 18 years of diversified strategic, commercial & operational experience where he has contributed to the growth of all the businesses he was part of through developing & managing business strategies as well as incubating new business models as a tool to successful turnarounds.
In 2017, El Abd was nominated as the Chief Marketing Officer of Telecom Egypt leading the company’s transformation program as an integrated operator launching the new mobile business stream as well as revamping the retail business into a new level; where the business in return witnessed a major turnaround.
El Abd joined Etisalat Misr as one of the pivots in the “Launch Task Force Team” leading different commercial positions. He walked a thriving pass of business achievements, holding different strategic positions in the local & international market, highlighted as The Vice President of Marketing in Etisalat UAE till 2017.
El Abd started his Telecom career in Mobinil Egypt in the Marketing function, then moved early 2007 to Etisalat Misr.
El Abd holds a Bachelor degree in Economics from The American University in Cairo.
