Orange Egypt announced renewing and developing the only pediatric section in the Egypt that treats children with tuberculosis and thoracic diseases at El Abbassia Chest Hospital in cooperation with Maxim Foundation.
This initiative aims to reduce the burden incurred by the hospital as it was one of the first hospitals to receive COVID-19 patients and thus Orange worked on developing and equipping the entire pediatric section which included only 20 beds in two sections on an area of 90 meters, and 5 beds in a tuberculosis unit.
Also, Orange Egypt worked on establishing a rest area for the children’s families that is supported with essential amenities to support the parents in accompanying their children throughout their treatment journey, and the students of the Faculty of Specific Education participated in decorating the rest area as part of their community role towards the society as well as being part of their graduation project.
