In light of its ongoing support to the hardware community, Orange Egypt participated at this conference. Orange also contributed to spread digital fabrication culture in several governorates in Upper Egypt (Zagazig, Ismailia, Mansoura, Assiut, Aswan) where it established 5 mini fab labs in conjunction with Fab Lab Egypt and providing the necessary equipment and training to the Egyptian Youth who need the appropriate climate to implement their innovative ideas.
In its 15th round, the conference was held under the slogan “Collectively Independent” and was attended by more than 1000 representatives of fab labs around the world. This year the focus was on the collaborative action among each of the entrepreneurs, startups and other groups that have creative ideas.
