Orange sponsors and empowers university students for the 12th year in a row by taking different roles in Enactus national competition. This year, 35 universities competed by presenting projects that help in developing our community. The event took place on 9 -10 July 2019.
As for the National competition winners, Cairo University came in the first place, October 6 University in the second, and Ain Shams in the third. Winners of the first place competed in the world cup Enactus competition that took place at Silicon Valley – California – USA on September 2019. And we feel proud to announce that Enactus Egypt Cairo University won the first place for the world championship competing with America.
Their project, named “Rosie”, supports women in each and every way as it provides them with employment opportunities by producing protective pads made from banana trees’ leaves that are plastic-free and cheaper than those in the market.
Orange was a diamond sponsor, and Orange employees supported in the competition by being league coordinators and judges.
